It's FINISHED!

I think it turned out pretty cute.
A little primative, a little shabby. All in all, way better than how I found it!

Look What I Found...

I know to most people this looks like trash...and it sorta is. But to us
junky girls...
it's TREASURE! This is the way it looked when I found it. Pretty grungy, huh? I love a challenge. This dirty old shelf thing cost me $1 at the local recycling center. I'm so excited! So, I'll be in the basement working. Come back for the 'after' photo!
Blessings to all my follower friends!

The "Junkin' Bug" Has Bitten!

Hello All! Thanks for stoppin' by!
It seems that I have been bitten by the JUNK BUG.
Each time I see discarded materials my mind starts spinnin'
and my thoughts are consumed by what I might be able to turn this
...whatever it happens to be...
in to!
Exciting? Yes.
Scary? Also Yes.
I have an addictive personality!
My latest obsession is causing me to clutter up my home!
What's junker to do?
Any organizing ideas are appreciated!
Blessings,
Mandie

Simple Woman’s Daybook:

Outside my window…
Sunflowers are blooming under and overcast sky.

I am thinking…
It's time for that 2nd cup o' Joe.

I am thankful for…
Back to School time.

From the kitchen…
quick and easy banana nut muffins, just add milk...
not nearly as good as the 'real' thing.
I am wearing…
tank and hub's gym shorts.

I am creating…
stuff for my ETSY shop.

I am going…
to stay home today ;D

I am reading…
different scriptures on diligence.

I am praying…
that my girls will be protected while they are at school.

I am hearing…
the tub fillin' up...Bentley's Bath Time! (Bentley is our Papillon)

Around the house…
there seems to be a light coating of dust. I had better take care of that...

One of my favorite things…
French Vanilla Coffee Creamer!

A few plans for the rest of the week…
get the girls settled into a new routine for school.

A Little Bit More About Me and Mine...

My family and I live in Northwest Arkansas. We were born and raised here. I consider this a blessing...to live in this country is such a privledge. My husband "J" and I have two daughters. They are the most precious little beings I have ever known. I thank the Lord for entrusting us with such darling souls. I love being a wife and mother. We don't have much of a farm here, more like a hobbie farm I suppose. Although, if it were up to me, I'd have a few more animals. Chickens! Goats! Sheep! Cats! But, Alas, (long sad sigh) I shall be content with the cows and dog...and the neighbors dogs.
